Why Men Should Use Accessories More in 2022

The attitude of most men to wearing accessories with special regards to jewelries is that of an extremist. Either believing  that usage of Jewelries make you too effeminate or over using jewelries and looking tacky.

Why You Should Use More Accessories

1. There is really nothing to men fashion. Half of fashion industry is dedicated to catering to the never ending needs of women and leaving little or no space for men. The only way to bridge that gap is to accessorise rightly.

2. Accessories give details to your outfit. A little brooch on your suit, a neck tie on your shirt, the ring on your fingers are all minute pieces that give details to your dressing. It takes you from looking ordinary to looking extra ordinary.

3. Accessories can change the concept of your outfit. Wearing your shirt without ties and switching to necklaces instead can switch your outfit from the corporate look to a bad boy image in minutes. Another way to tell your story is by accesoorizing rightly.

4. Accessories give you a new outfit everytime. You actually can make that blue suit look new everyday with different accessories.

5. Accessories are not constrained by sizes, time or trends. You can always use them.

6. It helps you embrace your feminine energy, which is good for you. You find a woman that mirrors your feminine energy. If your feminine energy is damaged, you have higher chances of attracting a woman without masculine energies at all. Therefore no directions, goals and ambitions. Just emotional and wild. Is that a woman you would like? I guess not.

Accessories you should invest in more

1. A Neck Tie

I don't think the idea of wearing a neck tie is foreign to most men but I believe the right way to wear it might be foreign to some. Below are tips on how you can better rock your neck ties; 

• Don't use a pattern neck tie on a pattern shirt unless you are confident you can rock the look. And you can check the Arziki article on mixing and matching patterns.
• Invest in vintage pieces. Ties could seem so basic at times. Investing in vintage and antique pieces is a great way to stand out.
• Avoid overly shiny neckties they look fake
• Your neck tie shouldn't be too short or long. Let it hang right above your belt. That's the right position
• Avoid pairing ties with short sleeve. I know this might seem strange. But ties look better when paired with long sleeve shirts. But if you are confident wear your ties.
• Lastly, there really is no need to wear a tie on a polo. It's a sore sight.

2. Wrist watches and Hand Pieces

If you don't have a wrist watch, you might want to invest in one. And below are tips that can help you in selecting the right ones; 
• Invest in quality leather watch. Preferably in black or brown so it is easily paired with anything.
• Avoid overly shiny wrist watches, it looks fake and immature.
• Don't wear your watch over your sleeves even if you are tempted to. It should be under your sleeve even if they are a bit long.
• Try getting watches that complement your other choices of jewelries e.g silver watches and silver rings.
• In my opinion, silver looks better on men than gold. But feel free to rock anything you want.

3. Brooches and Lapel Pins

Lapel pins are life savers especially to wedding and other classy occasions. Below are tips on how to better rock your lapel pins;

• This is where investing in antique and vintage pieces is the most useful. You will literarily be outstanding
• You can use more than one lapel pin but keep it at one side. I would probably illustrate and post an example of this on the Instagram page later.
• Invest in patterns and flowery brooches if you see them. They give life to your plain suit
• You could buy matching brooches with your ties.

4. Necklaces

This is where the hard bones come out to be chewed. There are lots of controversies on men wearing necklaces. Some wouldn't wear at all, and some would wear but just without pendant. You can wear absolutely anything a woman wears just with a little more caution. Below are tips that can help you rock your necklaces better;

• Invest in thicker necklaces. Those really thin and slim neckpieces in my opinion are more feminine. You could do something a bit bolder like Cuban.
• Invest in longer pieces. I am not saying men can't wear chokers, yes you can. But longer chains look better on men. Especially if you have the right volume of chest.
• Invest more in silver pieces, you should know the reason already
• Use bolder pendant. Like I said those simple jewellries is more feminine than masculine.
• Try multiple necklaces with varying lengths. But ensure they go from slimmer to thicker necklaces. Don't wear 10 cuban chains at the same time. A simple necklace and a cuban chain is would make you look better.
• And you know what, just be absolutely daring.

5. Rings

One of the sexiest thing a man can wear is a ring. I am revealing most women secret in the open. Below are the following things to note before you start buying rings;

• Use bolder pieces, slimmer rings are more feminine than masculine
• Don't wear rings on all your fingers its retarded. Make it a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3
• Don't mix colors of your rings. Make them all a particular color. Maybe black, silver or gold. And of course you know I advice more of silver.

6. Earrings

This here is the issue. I love when men use earrings. It doesn't make you look effeminate but balanced. A man that has been able to embrace but its feminine and masculine side. You can get those piercings today. I would happily blow on them(just kidding). There are just a few rules to rocking your earrings;

• For the first time, I would say keep them simple and slim. The bolder earring is for the ladies.
• Invest in studs.
• You can pierce one or both ears
• You can also try earring mix and match.
• Try pairing earring with matching pendant.

Like I always say there are no hard or fast rules to fashion, it's just dependent on how enticing you can make it look.

Remeber when in confusion, go for simple and less complex. But each day wear unique pieces, combine outfits that you normally won't combine together. Dare and test the waters, fashion too is a way of finding yourself.
